The Storage guide

Set up Dbrij Storage step by step: what you need, what to press, and how you know each step worked.

Set up Storage, step by step

By the end you have a bucket, a key in your app’s env vars, and files served from files.dbrij.com.

Before you start, have these ready

  • Any S3 tool: a command line client, an SDK, rclone or your framework’s storage driver.
  1. Create a bucket

Open Buckets and press New bucket. Name it once; private by default, and you can make it public later.
    Open buckets
You will know it worked when the bucket shows under Buckets.
  2. Make an access key

Open Access keys and press New access key. Copy the secret when it’s shown. It won’t be shown again.
    Open access keys
  3. Point your tool at s3.dbrij.com

Use the endpoint and region Access keys shows, with path style (s3.dbrij.com/bucket) or virtual host (bucket.s3.dbrij.com) addressing. The Docs page has configs for the common tools and frameworks.
    Open docs
  4. Upload and deliver

Drag files in, or upload from code. Make signed links with transformations from the bucket’s Delivery card.
You will know it worked when your first file appears in the bucket.
  5. Watch your meters

Usage shows storage, transfer and transformations against your plan.
    Open usage

Keep your team’s files in Drive

No code involved. Drive is the face people use, on the same allowance as your buckets.

  1. Put your files in Drive

Open Files and drag files in, or use Create. Make folders with New folder. Share any of them with a member, the whole company or someone outside it.
    Open Files
You will know it worked when your files show in Drive.
  2. Open documents in the editor

Documents, spreadsheets and presentations open in the editor from Documents.
    Open Documents

What Storage is

Storage holds files in buckets. Access keys let code reach them over the S3 API; delivery links serve them over files.dbrij.com, with image transformations on the path. Presets let browsers upload without a key.

Drive is the face people use: folders, sharing and previews. Both draw on the same allowance.

Good to know

  • Traffic is included: 10 GB a month on Free, then serving stops until next month; paid plans ₦15 a GB past the allowance.
  • Free stops at the cap instead of charging you.
  • Buckets, Drive files and git repositories count toward the same allowance. Database backups belong to Hosting.
  • A bucket can be private or public, and you can change it later.
  • Webhooks and the Audit log in the Storage menu tell you what changed and who changed it.
  • Storage has its own Billing page in the Storage menu.
