The Ping guide

Set up Dbrij Ping step by step: what you need, what to press, and how you know each step worked.

Set up Ping, step by step

By the end, your business is verified, you have units to send with, and your customers receive SMS from your name.

Before you start, have these ready

  • Your business details: the RC or BN number on your CAC certificate, your office address and a contact person.
  • For a sender name of your own: your CAC certificate.
  • The numbers you want to send to.
  1. Get verified

Open Sender names and fill in who you are and what you will send. A person at Dbrij checks it. Until then the workspace is in its sandbox and sends to five numbers at a time, so you can try it out.
    Open Sender names
You will know it worked when the page says you are verified.
  2. Register your sender name

On the same page, add the name you want recipients to see, with an example message. It is registered with all four networks. While they review it, you send under your shared Dbrij name.
You will know it worked when each network’s answer shows beside the name as it arrives.
  3. Buy units

Open Units and buy what you need. Press Pay from wallet or Pay by card. Units never expire.
    Open Units
  4. Send your first SMS

Open Send SMS, say what kind of message it is, choose the name it is sent as, type the message and paste the numbers.
    Open Send SMS
You will know it worked when the message shows as delivered under Delivery reports.
  5. Save your contacts

Contacts keeps lists of numbers, and Campaigns sends to a whole list at once.

How each part works

What Ping is

Ping sends SMS under your business name, to one number, a pasted list or a saved contact list, now or at a time you choose. Every message has a delivery report, and your sender name is registered with every network for you.

Good to know

  • Units are bought once and spent as you send. They never expire.
  • A sender name needs a CAC certificate, because every network asks for one.
  • Developers can send the same SMS from code; the Docs page in the Ping menu shows how.
